ROC WEST MAIN
The ROC at the Goodwill Construction Skills Training Center is a 15,000-square-foot warehouse located directly across from Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology. We’re walking distance to Harding University High and a short shuttle from West Mecklenburg.
The CTE training programs offered to The ROC youth apprentices include advanced carpentry, electrical, HVAC and construction management. The facility has classrooms and labs all with updated industry-specific equipment that allows instructors to work directly with you in an active-learning environment.
Notable features for this hands-on active-learning facility include:
Three labs including a large flex lab where apprentices will build tiny homes
Three “smart” classrooms with large touch-screen TVs
Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) technology lab
Building information modeling (BIM) software for construction planning and design
Laser cutter, 3D printer, flatbed scanner and plotter
Individual laptops for apprentices
Latest industry lab equipment and materials
The lab sizes are approximately 1,000 square feet each for closed labs, with a 4,400-square-foot large flex lab containing high-quality lighting, sound control, ventilation, and multiple power drops.
ROC NORTH DIRECT
Our northside campus is easily accessible coming eastbound on Julius Chambers Highway (I-85), on Northside Christian Academy’s 75-acre land. We are only a short shuttle away from Julius L. Chambers High School, right down Neal Road.
Our state-of-the-art classroom and flex lab provide ROC students with the option to study carpentry, electrical technology, or HVAC.

ROC WEST DIRECT FACILITIES
Serving Phillip O Berry, West Mecklenburg, and Harding University High School.
Students in the ROC Direct program can learn basic skills in carpentry and earn NCCER and OSHA safety certifications. Our labs are fully equipped for use of power tools for rough framing carpentry training.
